Come, learn with me...
As I began this endeavor, I asked myself: What exactly do I want to share with the world? Which of my interests are interesting enough to keep me writing and creating for years to come?
Let me list my passions:
Biblical Marriage
Biblical Motherhood
Cooking/Baking
Crocheting
Foraging
Gardening
Hand lettering
Herbalism
Homesteading
Housekeeping
Interior Design
Journaling
Joyful Movement
Languages
Nutrition
Paper Crafting
Photography
Poetry
Teaching
These are just the topics that occupy my thoughts every day, and the list was already getting too long. How could I choose just one?
Additionally, there is the growing list of skills I want to improve or learn:
Drawing
Embroidery
Floristry
Knitting
Natural Cosmetics
Painting
Sewing
The world is full of God's creativity, and I have a deep desire to learn as much as I can about His handiwork. In my journey as a lifelong learner, however, I have come to the sad realization that many resources often ignore or ridicule a close walk with the Creator.
With that realization, God revealed a calling for my life: share with others this joy of life and learning in a way that always points to Him and His word.
Adventures and Academia is my way of recording God's faithfulness in a life made of little learning moments and sharing the resulting lessons with others.
Join me on this journey of abiding in Jesus, marveling at His handiwork, and glorifying God in every endeavor.
Keep me accountable as I seek to honor God by being a good steward of the time, creativity, resources, and skills He has graciously granted.
Two verses that inform much of what I do are 1 Thessalonians 4:11
"...seek to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands..." (CSB)
and Ephesians 2:10
"...we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time for us to do." (CSB)
Thank you for being my guest. In God's word you will find rest; Seek Him, be bountifully blessed. 💚
